I give up

With 2015 coming to an end, I just want you to look back over the year and ask yourself "have I accomplished everything that I set my mind/heart on doing?"
How many unchecked things are on your "to-do" list? Whatever your excuse may be (I said excuse, not reason) for having unfinished business in 2015, conquer that excuse with work.
1. "Well I wanted to do this but I didn't have enough money" - Proverbs 16:3 New Living Translation: "Commit your actions to the LORD, and your plans will succeed".
*Faith trumps money! God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that you could ever ask or think according to the power that works in you (Ephesians 3:20)! Every plan and work, give it to God and do it unto God and allow His glory to reign on your behalf. Your money a little strange because God wants to know how bad do you want it and how much do you really trust Him. Do you trust God more or money?
2. "I had plans to do it but nobody would help me." - Isaiah 41:13 Easy-to-Read Version: "I am the Lord your God, who holds your right hand. And I tell you, ‘Don’t be afraid! I will help you'."
*God is our refuge and strength, a great help in times of distress!! (Psalm 46:1) Lean on God. Surely, if He gave you the vision He's going to give you provision! He'll allow you to make the right connections and He'll send the right people but you got to start working! God sees you. He will establish your plans. Trust Him to help you before anyone else. Depend on Him more than anyone else. Lean on Him before anyone else. Nobody will have your back like God so when you feel alone, you're never alone. As long as you're working, He's working on your behalf.
3. "I didn't have enough time. I already had a lot going on." - Ephesians 5:15-17 New American Standard Bible: "So, then, be careful how you live. Do not be unwise but wise, making the best use of your time because the times are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is".
*We must make sure we seek God in everything that we set out to do. Seek to do God's will daily. Don't live a busy life, live a purposeful life. Our plates get full but is it full of purpose or full of lack thereof. We should always have our hands doing God's work first. Prioritize! Practice time management! Stop procrastinating. Learn how to plan better. Start your days an hour or two earlier. Yeah, I know we have work, school, family, kids, hobbies, we need to rest, we have to get this done around the house...but life is so much easier when we "seek ye first the kingdom of God..." (Matthew 6:33). God's plans should trump your plans. God knows what you have to do throughout the day and He will give you the strength, will and know-how. He can and will help you get it done.

We often feel unworthy of the assignment at hand but God ordained you in the womb! We often lack the faith to begin. Ask God to help your unbelief and work anyway!
Although these points are geared towards bringing a project or plans to fruition, nothing that you set your heart to do is too big or too small. Whether it be to lose weight, get closer to God, focus on being a better parent, be more devoted to the gift God has given you, be more intentional about being nice to people, get that business up and running, be commited to working a steady job, manage your money better, etc..
If you set out to do something that is going to better you, better those connected to you, and produce fruit in your life then do it! God does not desire to withhold any good thing from you! (Psalm 84:11)
Don't settle with the "enough" mentality. "Oh, well I feel like I've done enough, so I'm good on those other things". Now, it's okay to give yourself credit for what you've done but understand that the work is never done and improvements are for a lifetime.
You may have found yourself in one of three of these points, maybe you didn't but the mandate is still on you to drop the excuse and work. Do not give up. Do not say "it's too late". Keep going. Keep working. Keep trying. Keep the faith. And as my pastor (and the Lord, of course) would say "Do not grow weary in well doing, for you shall reap if you faint not" (Galatians 6:9).
DON'T GIVE UP!

Until next time,
I LOVE YOU!

P.S. Of course, normally I have links to the bible verses just so that you can have proof of the text and read it for yourself but I made the post from my phone today and I don't know how to do it on my phone! But copy and paste the scripture in Google, if you'd like :-)
